Tasty Climbing Holds

Tasty is no longer selling holds.  We now teach people how to make them.  During a one-day course, you can learn:

-          how to design holds

-          how to make the hold model

-          how to make molds

-          how to make the holds

-          where to get all the tools and materials

-          how to make timber features and volumes.

In other words, you’ll learn everything you need to know to make your own holds, whether to start your own climbing hold business, or just for your own home woody.

Price for the course is $200.

Tasty holds are made from polyurethane. That means tasty holds are tougher and less likely to chip, crack or break than resin holds. It's a premium material, but we've come up with a range of holds that are less expensive than a lot of normal resin holds. The feel of the holds is the same as resin.  Urethane is the material of the future for climbing holds & big brands such as Franklin are also using it exclusively.

Tasty Holds are the only Aussie holds made of polyurethane.

Home Bouldering

For training you're probably after simple shapes that work all the grips and save you skin.  We'd recommend the Boulder Sets - ergonomic shapes with smooth texture.  Throw in some Ironstones or Edges for great screw-on footers.  Get a Big Smoothy or set of Cobbles or Riverstones for training open hands and slopes. If you need jugs, Jugsets 2 to 4 are a good range.

Climbing Gyms

If you run a climbing centre, you're probably sick of watching your holds getting chipped during handling, or cracking while being bolted on. This can happen with normal holds on any type of wall, but especially on concrete walls or other walls with an uneven surface. Often a crack is made in the hold while it is being screwed on, and then the hold breaks while being climbed on. If the broken hold lands on a customer? Not a good look. Tasty holds are stronger, less brittle, and can handle a less smooth surface when bolted down.

 New Sets

So far in 2006 we’ve introduced six new sets with smoother texture.  They are the Edges, Riverstones, Jug Set 4 and Boulder Sets 4 – 6.
